    Default Gear oil Q

    How much gear oil should be put in a 9 in rear end. Also what weight, syn or non. 2008 shaw Midwest Modified. Thanks

    Around 1 gallon should do. Redline Heavy Shockproof is about the best there is for a 9".

    We got better gear life out of 140 weights from tractor supply than the syn 90 weights.

    85w140 Valvoline with not one issue. I have always used 5 qts in my floater without inner tube seals and never had an issue.
