    The Slocum 50 is a benefit race and I'm glad that racers support it. It may just not be as easy as some think to steal that money. I don't remember seeing Bloomer win that race in the last few years. Birky and Bobby Pierce but no Bloomer. Since those two aren't going to be there this year, he may have a chance.

    Bloomquist said last night in the post race he was supporting the slocum. And yes he is already there doing what else....... Watching that grader and water truck go around.

    This is only the 2nd year I believe the Slocum has been an open race. Used to be an imca deery brothers race.

    He's already been paid, anything he makes racing tonight is just a bonus. As far as a class act then he would of come just for the race purse. Everyone in FC after last night is glad he left, so now they have a chance.
