As usual Fairbury does it again putting together one heck of a schedule for the fans, drivers, & teams. I know a lot of tracks try but I don't think there are any that do it as good quite like F.A.L.S. The racing is insane, the people are nice, and the track prep is second to none. Like Pennsylvania driver Gregg Satterlee said last year those folks are lucky to have a track like FALS in their back yard. Those folks truly do care about racing. Last years Prairie Dirt Classic was easily one of the top 2 or 3 races I have ever seen maybe even the #1 race. The one race beside the PDC I am very interested in is the POWRi Midget show on July 11th. That should be one he!! of a show for the fans. Full size midgets on the 1/4 mile bull ring for 30 or so laps that ought to be a real treat for those that attend that show with the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midgets $3k, UMP Late Models $2k, & UMP Modifieds for $1k. All 3 classes on the same card. I hope the FALS fans support that show in full force. A 410 Non-Wing or Wing Sprint car show there could be the best race ever seen for Sprints in Illinois. Just the way the track races give me that feeling. Event the Sportsman & Street Stocks put on one he!! of a show there. I know I'll try to be there a few times this year.

    2024 Season: 3 - Brownstown (IN) 1, Farmer City (IL) 1, & Kankakee (IL) 1

HDF, I too am excited about the POWRi boys coming to Fairbury. It's been quite some time since any open wheel cars have graced the dirt of FALS.

If I remember correctly the last time the midgets were at Fairbury Jack Hewitt was there and took a nasty tumble down the front straightaway in the dark blue #21 IGA sponsored midget.

Fairbury is to be commended for putting together the POWRi show. With the support classes for the midgets that night being the super late models and the E-mods only there will be something for everyone and all of good quality. I've got a feeling we'd better be there early to get a good seat for this one 'cause I reckon the place will be full!!

Hopefully the weather will cooperate this year, last year the Fairbury area received around 6" of rain the Friday night before the scheduled POWRi show and they never rescheduled, much to the disappointment of many.

Every one of those nights at FALS will be packed with the best dirt racing you'll see anywhere in the U.S. But the nights of the 24, and 25 of July are THE best racing this sport has to offer!!

On July 11th, the support classes with the Lucas Oil POWRi Midgets will be UMP Late Models $2,000 to win, $200 to start and UMP Modifieds $1,000 to win, $125 to start. NO E-mods will race at FALS in 2015.

Okay. You say tomato and I say tomato.

I wasn't aware that UMP modifieds and the generic term E-mods were not one in the same. They're all modifieds to me. Sorry.

Hopefully FALS, and/or UMP doesn't come find me and sue me. LOL!!
