Did the race for him happen yet? I know people really stepped up to help make it bigger. RIP Rodney, lucky enough to watch him a time or two.

The race happened this past Saturday, April 18, 2015...Greg Satterlee(sp?) won the event and pocketed over 12K in doing so...It was a terrific outpouring from family, friends and the general racing community...He will be missed...

A sad day for sure. We have lost of the best racers to come out of the mid atlantic region. Those battles with Stuhler were some of the best I have ever seen and will never forget them. Rest easy VA Leadfoot..

I remember standing on the raised area in the infield at Pennsboro and talking with Rodney, He didnt know me, but was very friendly. I always rooted for him after that. R.I.P. and prayers to his family.

Good to hear Stan. Glad it was a success, hopefully it is annual and they always remember Rodney. Stuhler, Franklin, and Hagerstown, what a combo.
One last question, thought I heard it was cancer, was it, and what type?

Cancer in the brain. Same his father and brother passed away from.. Horrible..
