American Dirt Allstars $1,000 to win and Full Racing Program at Ponderosa Speedway May 1

Junction City, KY-April 26, 2015- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jerry Denson will kick off the month of May will a huge slate of racing action this Friday May 1 as the American Dirt Allstars sanction the Lawson Tractor Sales and Service KDRA Super Stocks in a $1,000 to win event. Also, there will be a full racing program in all other division, along with make-up features for the Sweet Beans and Things Modified and KDRA Super Stock division that were rained out on April 24 at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring”.

The make-up feature for the Sweet Beans and Things Modifieds will take place at the start of the racing program, while the make-up feature for the Lawson Tractor Sales and Service KDRA Super Stocks will be the last event on the racing program on Friday May 1. These feature fields are set and no other cars will be added to these make-up feature events.

Ponderosa Speedway will present a full racing program for all divisions this Friday evening May 1, with the American Dirt Allstars KDRA Super Stocks headlining the program in a $1,000 to win main event. The Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models will also be in action for $1,000 to win, while the Premier Integrity Solutions Pro Late Models will be racing for $600 to win. Also scheduled for competition on Friday May 1 will be the Sweet Beans and Things Modifieds racing for $700 to win and Hardees Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $100 to win. All divisions will use the practice/time trials combo format to set heat race line-ups. RACEceivers are mandatory in all divisions and transponder scoring will be in use. Drivers will pick up their transponders at the driver registration window and drivers need to be signed in by the time of the drivers meeting at 7:00 p.m.

When drivers sign-in at driver registration, they will also need to pick up a transponder. The rental fee for the transponder is $10 ($5 if they have their own) and the transponder and RACEceiver needs to be in use each time a driver pulls his car onto the track. At the end of the night, drivers must return their rented transponder to the payout window in order to be able to pick up their prize money that evening. Transponder pouches will be available to purchase for $15 each. Transponders must be mounted on the right-rear axle tube.

With the Lawson Tractor Sales and Service KDRA Super Stocks being sanctioned by the American Dirt Allstars, there will be an entry fee for KDRA Super Stocks for this event. The entry on May 1 will be $20 and does include the rental of a transponder.

Activities for the May 1 racing program at Ponderosa Speedway will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m., with practice laps set to start at 7:30 p.m., while racing will take the green flag at 8:30 p.m. All times are Eastern Daylight Times. Tickets prices for the April May 1 event in the general admission area will be $15, with children ages 12 and under FREE. A pit pass will be $35.
