History will be made at Ponderosa Speedway on Friday May 8 when the World of Outlaws Late Model Series visits Ponderosa Speedway for the first-time ever that evening. The evening’s events will see the ground-pounding World of Outlaws Late Model Series battle for a $10,000 to win first place prize. The event will see World of Outlaws Late Model Series drivers Josh Richards, Shane Clanton, Rick Eckert, defending series champion Darrell Lanigan, Jordan Yaggy, Morgan Bagley, Chase Junghans, Eric Wells, Frank Heckenast, Jr., Chub Frank, Tim McCreadie, Boom Briggs, and Brandon Overton battle a host of the local and regional racing stars for supremacy at “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” that evening. Also, there will be NO lawn chairs allowed in the general admission seating area, as a large crowd is expected and the track will need as much room as possible to seat everyone. The event will also be a fundraiser for God’s Food Pantry in Junction City as everyone is encouraged to bring non-perishable canned goods to the track that evening and for every canned food item donated, a ticket will be given to the person donating those goods that will be put into a drawing for gift cards that will be given away throughout the evening.
