USCS Outlaw Thunder winged sprint cars to make high speed assault on North Georgia Speedway this Saturday ( May 9th )

May 7, 2015 - The United Sprint Car Series 19th annual Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters brings its high speed 120+ mile oer hour assault to North Georgia Speedway near Chatsworth, Georgia this Saturday night. The event is the only USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint car event scheduled at the 1/3 mile high banked red clay oval in 2015. The event serves as Round Five of the 45 event 2015 USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour and the 24 event USCS Southern Thunder Tour regional series schedules. Both races will award National USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour and USCS Southern Thunder Tour regional series championship points. Entries are expected from five or more states for the series first event in over a decade at the track..

Expected entries for the event include several multi-time USCS Southern Thunder Tour sprint car feature winners during the 2014 and early 2015 seasons. Those drivers include; 11-time National and 2014 USCS Southern Thunder Tour USCS Champion Terry Gray, from Bartlett, Tennessee and former Southern Thunder regional series Champion Johnny Bridges from Cherryville, North Carolina (2 wins in 2014),

Also entered is Eric Riggins, Jr. from Charlotte, North Carolina who was a five-time winner over that time period. Another entry is the nation’s top-ranked female sprint car racer, Morgan Turpen from Cordova, Tennessee who was the USCS Road to Atlanta Hoosier Tire Asphalt Series Champion and won twice in 2014. She was also the runner-up in the series 2014 National standings. Lance Moss also from Cherryville, North Carolina who was a winner in the series in 2014 is entered as well.

The www.rockauto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series winged mini/micro sprints also join the action on Saturday night to form a USCS open wheel double-header. That series will be making its first-ever visit to the speedway on Friday night. Drivers from at least four states are expected for that series as well for its fifth and sixth events of the young racing season.

The two USCS sprint car series are joined on Saturday night by a full program of Late Model and stock car racing in four of the speedway’s weekly racing divisions. The other classes on the racing card include the popular Ctate Late Model, Sportsman, A Hobby and Pony divisions to provide the race fans with an action-packed night of racing and family entertainment.
