Default Dirt Latemodel Dream Format Change

Driver's average finishes from both Thursday and Friday programs is how the heat lineups will be lined up for Saturday.
Sounds cool. Means they will have to race a little harder rather than just test.
Only 2 provisionals. Fastest 2 qualifiers from both nights.
What do you think about the change?

So you are anti-passing and want to see freight train racing?

The format makes sense to me. It makes the preliminary nights mean something.

yes , I know I kind of contracted myself. I guess inverts were cool at the local yokel track when one or two cars were clearly better than everyone else.

I think the changes are great. Nice to see no emergency provisionals or series provisionals.

Highly approve of the new tire rule as well.

in this race, where all front six cars have won their heats, how does an invert make a difference? if you have a better car or you are a better driver, with 100 laps to race, you should be able to make it to the front. no one is involved in the invert except the heat race winners.

It's not handicapping. If these guys are supposed to be the best of the best they should have to prove it by passing somebody. Bloomer passed the entire field at Eldora last year so do you think inverts are really an issue for the drivers there?

That's not correct at all. The heat races are inverted. Did you read the press release?

Hooray, maybe some credit to I80 and Knoxville for opening some eyes on formats at special events?

That's right. Bloomquist passed the entire field of the "best" and won last year. THAT proved the inverts should be BIGGER, at least in the feature. The best will still win.

All while making it entertaining for the fans, which should be the #1 goal.
