Default What does this refer to?

When you here people say they run steel heads such as a 358 or 360 steel head which class are they referring too. And can you run a steel head in any of the sportman or crate classes in Tennesse or Kentucky.

Since most tracks will not pay a big enough purse for super late model engines on a weekly race their top class is usually called limited late models.Every track has different rules for the limiteds. They are usually steel head, steel block rules but some let the 604 and 525 crates run with them.If their top class is limited late models they usually have a steel headed lower class with more restricions such as flat tappet cams, flat top pistons and unported heads.Every track is different.
