Dixie should permanently drop the wheel spin from all Super Late Model races (childish) and the tire rule that's keeping other racers at their local tracks on Saturday night (pointless).
Down to less than 15 supers each week and the pits inside the track look like a ghost town for the lower divisions. Time to think outside the box and get it fixed, lots of opportunities for Dixie and almost none of the touring series go there.
One day they'll figure it out........ we hope.

I agree 100 % the tire rule is killing the racers why should we have to pay more for a tire that has drs on it . I will tell you why because someone is making money off the tires I understand making a little for the handling of the tires but do not stick it to the people who are helping you make a living. I have from several sources what the tires can be bought for by the truck load believe me someone is lining their pockets off of us racers!!!!!!

Dixie has the highest regular pit admission and tire costs. Owners are starting to consider this. I can drive an hour further spend less including gas and have more return at nights end.

Dixie is in a battle with Senoia for the Saturday night crowd in the Atlanta area. Senoia has had a full house about every week and Dixie is struggling, that is why the SLM shows were announced for this weekend. Admission at Dixie is high, but when they were only game in town if ya want to go then you pay it, same as for tires too,but now with new player Dixie needs to look at other avenues. Only tours coming is Ray Cook & Lucas, no Southern All Star, no Ultimate, no Carolina Clash, I know these series don't have the following of a Lucas race, but they do bring a different name to the track and a show run by different people. I think Ray gets in through his deal with Capitol and Marshall Green and Lucas with its connection with the late Mike Swims, which is all good, but just need to add more variety to shows and doing your own SLM just ain't the same, I don't care what ya say

I wouldn't complain about weekly SLM's... I have 5 tracks within 1 hr. 20 mins., none have weekly SLM, and support classes ( hobby/ sportsman down ) have become slim. Car counts haven't been great around here, just go to results for any track on a regular night and do a car count. Stands aren't too full, except for the once a month Smokey Mnt. SLM shows, even then only Lucas and WOO are packed. Can't blame any driver for chasing the money, but I do believe all the traveling series (including crates ) hurt the weekly shows. I still love it and am thankful to have dirt tracks to choose from... Thanks to Boyds / Cleveland / I-75 / NGS / Smk. Mnt. (In alphabetical order only)

I've tried to stay quiet on this, but just can't! I fully believe that things would be much better if Mike were still with us & at the helm of Dixie. I believe change is just too hard for a man of Mickey's age& level of past success. He's used to opening the gates & raking in the money, with modest effort. Times have changed so & Dixie isn't THE place anymore. Senoia changed & is now racey & we have another real alternative to Dixie. The first week or two for 2015 was decent & we heard that Mickey wanted some changes in turn 4 &had it about where he wanted. I have gone there for the vast majority of my races for decades, but the last few years really have not made me proud. I am a Champion & the home of the Champions will always have a great place in my heart! We'll have to continue this during the week. I have to leave for Rome!

On a side note, my good friend Kenny is having heart surgery tomorrow & could use your thoughts & prayers. He'll be away from the race tracks for awhile, but will be missed. Hot laps over. Heat races next.

Running really late at Rome. Super feature over after midnight! Limited feature to Jeff Smith. Several cautions.
