Ponderosa Speedway Goes with 15th Annual Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial on July 10

Junction City, KY-July 3, 2015- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jerry Denson is set to return with racing competition at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” this Friday July 10 as the track will present the 15th Annual Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial, paying $3,000 to win for Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, along with a full racing program in all other divisions.

Ponderosa Speedway will present the 15th Annual Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial on Friday July 10 and the event will feature the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models in action in a 35 lap, $3,000 to win main event. Also on the racing card at Ponderosa Speedway on Friday July 10 will be the Sweet Beans and Things Modifieds racing for $700 to win, Premier Integrity Solutions Pro Late Models racing for $600 to win, Lawson Tractor Sales and Service KDRA Super Stocks racing for $400 to win, and Hardees Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $100 to win. All divisions will utilize the practice/time trials combo format to determine heat race starting positions, except for Super Late Models, as they will time trial two cars at a time for two laps to determine heat race starting spots. RACEceivers are mandatory in all divisions and transponder scoring will be in use. Drivers will pick up their transponders at the driver registration window and drivers need to be signed in by the time of the drivers meeting at 7:00 p.m. There will be $60 entry fee for Super Late Model teams for this event and that includes transponder rental.

Activities for the Friday July 10 scheduled 15th Annual Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial racing program at Ponderosa Speedway will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m., with practice laps set to start at 7:20 p.m., while racing will take the green flag at 8:30 p.m. All times are Eastern Daylight Times. Tickets prices for the Friday July 10 event in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, with children ages 12 and under FREE. A pit pass will be $35.
