CARTERSVILLE, GA – NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series point leader Michael Arnold of Hattiesburg, MS drove The Strength Center Special to his 11th win of the 2015 season on Friday night in Week 16 competition at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS. Arnold was able to net on a 25 and now has a best 14 week total of 685 points after 11 wins, 14 top five finishes and 16 top ten finishes in 19 races.

Joseph Joiner of Milton, FL is second in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 556 points after a third-place finish in the NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series race on Saturday night at Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL. Joiner, who also leads the NeSmith Panhandle point standings, has one win, ten top five finishes and 12 top ten finishes in 13 races over 12 weeks driving the Three Trade Consultants Special.

Bobby Jordan of McCarley, MS was the big winner on Saturday night, taking a pair of victories at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS in the SMJ Race Parts Trak-Star and move up the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings into the third spot with 524 points. Jordan has two wins, four top five finishes and seven top ten finishes in 15 races over 12 weeks. Jordan’s first win was a Week 5 Make-Up Race.

Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is fourth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 521 points after one win, 12 top five finishes and 13 top ten finishes in 13 races over 11 weeks. Lee drove the Billy Riels Racing Special to a third-place finish on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway.

The 2013 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series National Champion Noah Daspit of Kiln, MS is fifth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 519 points after four wins, eight top five finishes and 11 top ten finishes in 12 races over 11 weeks driving the Billy Riels Racing Special. Daspit finished second on Saturday night at Hattiesburg Speedway.

Cruz Skinner of Oxford, AL drove the Skinner’s Body Shop CVR to a second-place finish on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL and is sixth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 482 points. The 13-year-old Skinner, who also leads the Sunoco Young Guns Challenge Series point standings for NeSmith Late Model drivers 18 years of age and younger, has five wins, nine top five finishes, and 11 top ten finishes in 12 races over 11 weeks.

Greg Fore of Greenville, MS is seventh in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 469 points after one win, seven top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in 12 races over ten weeks. Fore drove the Washington Body Shop GRT to a sixth-place finish in the Week 5 Make-Up Race and a third-place finish in the Week 16 race on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway.

Mike Palasini Jr. of Leland, MS drove the MP Trucking Special to a pair of second-place finishes in the Double Features on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway and is eighth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 461 points. Palasini has four wins and nine top five finishes in 11 races over ten weeks.

Three-time NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region Champion Lucky Keeton of Collinsville, MS is ninth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 458 points after one win, six top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in 12 races over ten weeks driving the Byram Trucking GRT. In Week 16 action, Keeton finished seventh on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.

Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS rounds out the Top 10 in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 432 points after two top five finishes and seven top ten finishes in 11 races over ten weeks. Scarbrough drove the Villa South Trak-Star to an eighth-place finish on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park.

In other NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 16 action, Jeremy Shaw of Millport, AL took the win at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS on Friday night driving the Freeman Farms Trak-Star. Dennis Bush of Cedar Grove, TN drove the Bush Racing Special to a Week 16 win at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN. Randy Boyd of Marion, MS was the winner at Whynot Motorsports Park in the Harwell Racing Trak-Star.

Adam Cummings of Odenville, AL drove the Cummings Racing GRT to his second NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series win of the season on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track. Shep Lucas of McKenzie, AL took the NeSmith Panhandle Challenge Series win on Saturday night at Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL driving the Lucas Farms Special.

There was one rainout to report in NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 16 competition and that was at Salina Speedway in Salina, KS. Battleground Race Park in Highlands, TX did not report their NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 16 results.

Week 16 was a big one for three-time NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Chassis Manufactures Challenge Champion Trak-Star Race Cars built by Boland Performance of Cuba, AL. Four wins from Jordan, Boyd and Shaw gives Trak-Star a season total of nine wins and the point lead in the Weekly Chassis points. Rocket Chassis of Shinnston, WV is second with eight wins.

A win from Cummings gave four-time NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Chassis Manufactures Challenge Champion GRT Race Cars of Greenbrier, AR sole possession of the third spot in the point standings with six wins. CVR Race Cars of Lenoir City, TN is fourth with five wins on the season and Warrior Race Cars built by Goddard Performance of Knoxville, TN is still looking for their first win of the season.
