Default 'Workforce 40' WoO Late Models + MOWA Sprints Thurs July 23 At Quincy Raceways

It's finally here and time to start talking about it...

The 'Workforce 40' at Quincy Raceways Thursday July 23rd featuring the World of Outlaw Late Model Series and Neal Tire MOWA Sprint Car Series presented by Casey's General Stores.

Why the name 'Workforce 40'? Quincy and the surrounding area has among the lowest unemployment and strongest economy in the State of Illinois with numerous opportunities for career development and advancement. This race is sponsored by the Great Rivers Economic Development Foundation with primary sponsorship from some of Quincy's outstanding employers and institutions including: Titan International, Sisbro, John Wood Community College and Ortman Fluid Power. Presenting sponsorship includes Inter-Connect Employment Services, Spring Street Automotive, and Gates Air. Each of those companies will have great displays at the event featuring their employment and workforce development opportunities.

Who's Coming? The World of Outlaw Late Model Series should draw a stellar field of drivers, especially sandwiched between other large area events. Add in a handful of regional travelers along with our great group of Quincy regulars who know their way around the Bullring better than most and it should be a fantastic main event. As an 'undercard' we have a tremendous sprint car show that is a major event in its own right with the first event of MOWA Sprint week. In addition to the great field of MOWA drivers, Steve Kinser, Rico Abreu and Christopher Bell will be on hand. We are only racing these two classes, late models and sprints.

Are Tickets Still Available? Yes, plenty of seats and tickets remain. We have stopped selling advance tickets to allow us to focus on preparing for the event, but we have more than enough room to handle a very large walk-up crowd on the day of the event. We would encourage people to come with more than one person per car if at all possible just to keep our parking from getting too spread out.

What's It Cost? Adult admission is $30, seniors $25 ages 11-16 $15, and kids 10 and under $5. This is only $5 more than a Summer Nationals show with a lower purse and without the great sprint car race. Or looking at it another way, the MOWA sprint week show would cost $18 by itself, so you are getting the WoO Late Models for just an additional $12. Pit passes are $40. A limited number of VIP tickets remain that include a reserved seat, pre-race party starting at 3:30 with band, free food, free beverage (soda and beer), a driver meet and greet, and includes a pit pass. VIP tickets are $60. Contact Kenny at kdobson@ciltrak.com if you wish to purchase VIP tickets.

What Time Does It Start? VIP gates will open at 3:30. Grandstands will open at 4:00. Hot Laps 6:20. Opening Ceremonies at 7:00.
