Jeep Van Wormer Nabs 34th Career ALMS Series Win at Eldora Speedway!

(PINCONNING, MICHIGAN) Jeep Van Wormer recorded his 34th career American Late Model Series (ALMS) feature victory on Tuesday night, July 21 at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio! Jeep timed in thirteenth fastest during the qualifying session and later scored the win in heat race action. After starting third on the grid in the 25-lapper, Jeep grabbed the point on lap five and led the remainder of the distance to bag the $2,000 payday ahead of Duane Chamberlain, Josh Rice, Matt Westfall, and James Rice!

On Wednesday evening, July 22, another $2,000 top prize was on the line at the "Big E," as the Super Late Models were on the under card in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series 'Mud Summer Classic.’ Jeep clicked off the sixteenth quickest time during qualifying prior to moving up to third in his heat race. The Pinconning, Michigan ace then rolled off from the inside of the fourth row in the A-Main and was able to move past four competitors en route to a strong third place showing behind only victor Duane Chamberlain and runner-up Kent Robinson. “It was a good couple nights for us at Eldora with a win and a third place finish,” exclaimed Van Wormer earlier this week via telephone. “The car performed well both races and it has me excited about coming back to Eldora for the World 100. I have to thank all of my sponsors and crew for their support of Iron Motorsports, as well as all of the great fans who showed up for the Mud Summer Classic!”

Jeep and Iron Motorsports now plan to enjoy at least the July 31-August 1 and August 7-8 weekends away from the racetrack. When the #55 team decides when and where they will race next, you will be able to find out first by pointing your web browser to www.jeepvanwormer.com.
