TY for that bit of info. Shows how much I know. I had no idea Covert was no longer in that car.

Yeah Covert drives for Pete Cameron, former driver and promoter at Potomac. Gene Knaub had been in the 43a off and on until Ziegler took over. This is the first time ive heard of that car leaving the north east area

If I'm not mistaken, I've seen Covert win at Ponderosa in central KY in the yellow 43. I think it was the MACS that made a stop there. Anyone else remember that race?
    We'll miss ya Doc Watson...

Yeah, you're correct about Pondy, that was an Independent Racing Series win.

And I probably could have worded myself differently about the big trips. Jason and crew definitely put the miles in. MACS expanded their racing area (by a lot) and that was during the same time when Jason knocked out three titles in a row --- and of all things, he only had 5 races wins, so that says two things, he didn't miss (m)any events and finished well.

I was leaning more towards Jason puzzled many fans why he didn't take a stab at a few Crown Jewel races. I believe many thought he was ready.

Passing points thing don't make sence linville wins 1st heat starts last in his other heat passes 4 cars but isn't in top 16 locked in but in other heats jameson starts last and wins then his other heat he starts 1st loses 4 spots but he is in so you must get penalized for starting up front winning with nobody to pass

That's because Linville started second in his first heat race to win so he only received 60.76 points for the first heat win because he only passed one car. He started 8th and finished 8th in his second heat race. He didn't pass any cars so he received 36.76 points. So that's a total of 97.25 passing points for the two races. He had the chance to pass cars in his second heat race but didn't. That's why he's not in the North/South yet. He's starting up in the front row in his B-Main so he should make the North/South.

Jameson started 11th in his first heat race and won by passing 10 cars so he received the most passing points of the night at 76.60 . His second heat race, he started first and finished 4th so he received 47 points for a total of 123.6 passing points.

    1 20 Jimmy Owens Newport, TN 129.84 69.08 60.76
    2 15 Steve Francis Ashland, KY 128.08 60.76 67.32

    4 6 Jonathan Davenport Mount Airy, NC 124.56 63.80 60.76

    5 12J Jason Jameson Lawrenceburg, IN 123.60 76.60 47.00

    6 0 Scott Bloomquist Mooresburg, TN 122.32 61.56 60.76
    7 777 Jared Landers Batesville, AR 122.32 64.28 58.04

I wasn't there so I'm just speculating but he could of had a go pro camera and a light to watch how the car is reacting and working.

yelp it cost more money for tires and fuel and knocks out the smaller teams,so if your lucky u might have 19 to 20 top teams out of 60 and if u win the 50k it cuts down on cash cleared for pocket change.

I wondered if anyone else seen this. Like said above they probably had a camera under the car. I'd like to see that footage.
