Marlar ran like 5 races in that car. It went to Weaver and he cleaned house at smokey mountain the first night it was back on the track. The way I took that car was sold by Delk, Marlar had no clue it was going to be sold. Time given, Mikey would've won in that car too.

JD has having a great year! The 6 car has some more races to win to match the $1,000,000 that Bloomer won in 2005.
JD roughly needs to win another $650,000

JD has roughly 365K in FIRST PLACE money. He is over 400K in total winnings this year.

I think it was in 1995 . When Bloomer won a million in one season. Barry Wight, J &J steel #18 car.I seen the stats for his wins in 1995. Not exactly sure how he totaled up a million in winnings that season. Not saying it did not happen

Out side that 1mill win, how many wins did he have that yr and total win money he earned that yr? Dont get me wrong, that was a very impressive win to do specailly that was his only dream race to finish in top 3 at the dream. But if they had 1 mill race every year then jd would be 1.3+ in winnings.

Am I to understand it was all smoke and mirrors and none of it ACTUALLY happened? I'll have to increase my alcohol consumption at the races because at present levels, it looked like it really happened!
He didn't come from outta nowhere to accomplish this, it was a well calculated and planned before it was put in motion. Davenport, for those of us who live near where he is from could see he had insane potential going back to his legend car days. K Rumley is well known in NC and SC for building, designing dominating cars that only ran regionally. Kevin and Jonathan were a potent combination the first time they got together, the difference this time is focus, resources and the opportunity to show there stuff on the big stage. These cars are being engineered in ways not many have attempted before. Sure Joe Garrison had his computer car in the 90's, but that was less about geometry and aero and more about structural rigidity. I know Barry Wright hired some Cup engineers to help him with the front end he uses now, but the difference this time, with Longhorn is the entire car from nose to tail has been rethought, redesigned and built in a better way than ever before. Also the lead engineer owns the cars and his father builds the engines, so they have a vested interest to do their very best. Now add in an incredibly talented driver with some seasoning and you get a Hot streak that started bearing fruit back in 2014... This is only a surprise to those not paying attention.
