TDR. Answered your question with the first sentence! I think we could see 30-35 cars, most of which are competitive to one and other. Many fans don't go to the World for various reasons. The real serious question would have been "Why Not"? Jmo.

Atomic Scheduled the race August 9th, Southern Scheduled theirs August 16th. So its the other way around.

Swartz race cars was adding 25$ to steel blocks competing that night.

I heard them announce 2 weeks ago during the freedom 40 qualifier. Which was actually 2 or 3 weeks ago.

I don't see what the problem is. Southern should've ran Friday night like they have every other weekend, when they wasn't shut down.

I'm not much concerned with the cars so much, but the fans who may be torn. Hell, some of the drivers who can't afford to compete at the World still go to enjoy the race for what it is.

The bottom of the flyer reads : "We are adding this race due to so many rain outs this season. This will help Lates & Mods in AMRA National points along with our Enduro 100 lap championship"

This was on the Atomic track owners facebook page on August 9th , along with the flyer (some people need to do some research before they spout off !) :

Hey Atomic Speedway Fans!

We are adding a show on September 12th. We will be racing AMRA Late Models, AMRA Modifieds, Sport Mods, Southern Ohio Lightning Mini Sprints and a 100 lap Enduro Championship!

We are giving away a $200 bonus for the highest finishing Steel Block in the AMRA Late Model division.

Also, Enduro's will pay the top 5!!! With this being the final Enduro race and it being the Championship race, Enduro's will pay $400, $200, $150, $100, $50 for the top 5. We will also pay out double points for the Enduro's.

Don't forget, that's Saturday September 12th. Should be a great racing evening, so come out and join us.

Atomic also ran the same weekend as the World 100 last year.
