Jerry Glass Labor Day Spectacular
September 5, 2015

Our flag was flying at half-staff as we kicked off our “Jerry Glass” Labor Day Spectacular event. Mr. Glass was a former owner of Thunderhill and this race was in his memory. His family presented a plaque to Thunderhill in his honor. It was always his home away from home, he loved this track.

This class may be called MINI but it wasn’t short on action tonight. The only caution was on lap one, then we had a RED flag on lap ten. Dillon Scott took charge at the drop of the green and was checking out on the field … at least it looked like it, but as he was putting Bobby Hickman, Jr a lap down, Hickman got into Scott and sent him barrel rolling then flipped end over end. What a wild ride for Dillon Scott … but thankfully he walked away uninjured (sure he will be very sore). Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for his car … looks like it just may have seen its last race. The remainder of the race went caution free with Craig Pedrick out front to the checkered with John Duncan in hot pursuit, taking the second position.

We will NOT be racing at Thunderhill Raceway next weekend. Keep a check on our Facebook Page and Website www.thunderhillracewaypark.com for current information.
