Moyer wins, Mars 2nd, KRob 3rd.

Where did he start???? Did he get the discount start? If so its very odd how he can stay on the track. But when he starts farther back he pulls off?

Moyer, from Batesville, Arkansas, was recorded as the leader for all 25 laps while choosing to run the lightning fast cushion, but it was not without challenge. Wisconsin veteran Jimmy Mars challenged several times rolling the middle groove and briefly took the lead with a slide job in turn four while Moyer bobbled on the cushion. The two drag-raced to the checkered flag with Moyer taking the win by half a car length.“He came under me and ran me pretty good,” Moyer said. “He ran me clean. He could have slid up and it might have been disaster. But, he let me slide by. We’ve raced together for a long time and we leave each other room. started 1st, Mars started 3rd.

I'm pretty certain at this point in his career, Moyer knows fairly quickly whether or not he has anything to make a run to the front. He doesn't care to race 100 laps to battle for a position in the range of 10-20 to make the same amount of money as he would pulling off and saving equipment. If you aren't running a point series, I would do the exact same.

You hit the nail squarely on the head.
