Tyler Erb Guns Down Greenville Foes for $3k; CCSDS Weekend Next

New Waverly, Texas (09/08/15) – 18-year-old, Tyler Erb dominated Sunday night’s $3,000-to-win, COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) event at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) in his First Class Septic #91 Black Diamond/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Tyler Erb made the trip to Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas) on Friday night for the opening night of the Triple Crown sanctioned by the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS). With twenty-seven Super Late Models signed in for the Labor Day Classic, Erb cruised to heat race win setting him up for the $3,000 to win feature. Early in the feature Erb tangled with Kyle Beard early in the feature, which sent both drivers to the tail of the pack. He would rebound to finish 10th.

On Saturday night Tyler and seventeen other entries signed into Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) for the CCSDS sanctioned event. Capturing another heat race victory, Tyler started 3rd in the feature before recording a podium finish behind Billy Moyer Jr. and Clay Fisher with Stacy Taylor and Wendell Wallace completing the top five.

Wrapping up the Labor Day weekend, Erb headed to Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) on Sunday night. Starting the night by registering the fastest time in qualifying at the ¼ mile oval, Erb cruised to heat race victory giving him the pole position starting spot for the feature. Leading all 35-laps, Tyler Erb cruised to his 5th victory of the season, which was worth $3,000, with Jack Sullivan, Kyle Beard, Allen Tippen, and Clay Fisher rounding out the top five.

“This was an awesome weekend for our team,” said Erb. “Honestly we had an even better car than our results showed, but had a little bit of bad luck bite us at Crowley's Ridge. Even at that, I’m very proud of our team and where we have progressed with this team. I feel like we are now a contender every time that we unload.”

Erb had originally planned to travel to Eldora Speedway this weekend for the 45th Annual World 100, but a test in one of his college courses will keep him closer to home. As a result he will take part in a pair of COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model events in Oklahoma. On Friday evening the action will open at Outlaw Motor Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma) with a $2,500-to-win event before traveling to Tri State Speedway (Pocola, Oklahoma) on Saturday for a $3,000-to-win race that will be co-sanctioned by the MARS DIRTCar Series.
