    Ponderosa Speedway’s 25th Annual Fall Classic $25,000 to win October 8-10

    Junction City, KY-September 18, 2015- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jerry Denson is pleased to announce some of the early details concerning the richest stock car weekend of racing in the 43 year history of Ponderosa Speedway as the 25th Annual Fall Classic will take place Thursday through Saturday October 8 through October 10 at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring”.

    The Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Collins Signs will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the weekend’s racing activities, culminating with the 25th Annual Fall Classic that will be 100 laps in distance and pay a track-record $25,000 to win. Also in competition during the weekend will be the track’s Sweet Beans and Things Modified division, which will race for a track-record $5,000 to win. The Premier Integrity Solutions Pro Late Model division will also compete for $2,500 to win and the Lawson Tractor Sales KDRA Super Stocks will compete for $1,000 to win during the Fall Classic weekend.

    The 25th Annual Fall Classic weekend will begin on Thursday evening October 8 with an open practice for all divisions that will take place from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. that evening. On Friday October 9, all four divisions will compete in practice, time trials, and qualifying heat race events. The weekend will conclude on Saturday October 10 with B-Mains for each division, followed the $25,000 to win Super Late Model A-Main, the $5,000 to win Modified A-Main, the $2,500 to win Pro Late Model A-Main, and the $1,000 to win KDRA Super Stock A-Main.

    The KDRA Super Stock portion of the program will be the inaugural running of the Bobby Carrier, Sr. Memorial event for the division as part of the Fall Classic weekend. The event will honor the memory of the late Mr. Carrier, Sr., who was a competitor at Ponderosa Speedway for many seasons and scored than his share of wins in both the Super Late Model, Bomber, and Sportsman divisions at the track over the course of his career.

    The Super Late Model portion of the event will be sanctioned by the Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Collins Signs and see the Super Late Models practice, time trial, and heat race on Friday October 9, followed by their B-Mains and 100 lap, $25,000 to win A-Main on Saturday October 10. The tire rule for the event is as follows: Hoosier 1300, 1350, or 1600; American Racer 44, 44, or 56. All other rules and regulations followed by the Southern Nationals Bonus Series will apply for the weekend of racing competition. The entry fee for Super Late Models for the event will be $175 and entry forms are available on the Ponderosa Speedway track website at www.ponderosaspeedway.net.

    Ponderosa Speedway 25th Annual Fall Classic Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Collins Signs Super Late Model A-Main Payout (100 laps): 1st- $25,000, 2nd- $10,000, 3rd- $5,000, 4th- $4,000, 5th- $2,500, 6th- $2,000, 7th- $1,800, 8th- $1,700, 9th- $1,500, 10th- $1,000, 11th- $1,000, 12th- $1,000, 13th- $1,000, 14th- $1,000, 15th- $1,000, 16th- $1,000, 17th- $1,000, 18th- $1,000, 19th- $1,000, 20th- $1,000, 21st- $1,000, 22nd- $1,000 (all drivers starting a B-Main that do not qualify for the event will receive $100 tow money).

    The Sweet Beans and Things Modifieds will race for $5,000 to win as well at the event, with their practice, time trials, and qualifying heats on Friday October 9, with their B-Mains and $5,000 to win A-Main on Saturday October 10. The full payout for the Modified division and entry fee for the event will be posted in an upcoming press release, with track rules applying for the division. The Premier Integrity Solutions Pro Late Models will race for $2,500 to win at the Fall Classic, with their practice, time trials, and qualifying heats on Friday October 9, followed by their B-Mains and $2,500 to win A-Main on Saturday October 10. The full payout for the Pro Late Model division and entry fee for the event will be posted in an upcoming press release, with track rules applying for the division. The KDRA Super Stocks will compete in the Bobby Carrier, Sr. Memorial event, with practice, time trials, and qualifying heats set for Friday October 9 and B-Mains and the $1,000 to win Bobby Carrier, Sr. Memorial on Saturday October 10. The full payout for the KDRA Super Stocks and entry fee for the event will be posted in an upcoming press release, with KDRA Super Stock rules applying for the event.

    Activities for the 25th Annual Fall Classic weekend at Ponderosa Speedway will see gates open for the open practice on Thursday October 8 at 5:00 p.m., with practice laps set to take place from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Preliminary night activities on Friday October 9 will see the general admission and pit areas open at 4:00 p.m., with the drivers meeting set for 7:00 p.m., with practice set to begin at 7:30 p.m., followed by time trials and green flag racing. The weekend will culminate on Saturday October 10 with the general admission and pit areas opening at 4:00 p.m., while the drivers meeting will again take place at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by racing action. All times listed are Eastern Daylight Times.

    Ticket prices for the 25th Annual Fall Classic at Ponderosa Speedway on Thursday October 8 will be FREE in the general admission area, while a pit pass will be $15. For Friday October 9, general admission for adults will be $25, children ages 12 and under FREE, and a pit pass will be $35. For Saturday October 10, general admission for adults will be $40, children ages 12 and under FREE, and a pit pass will be $50. A two-day pass will be available for the weekend that can be purchased at the general admission and pit gates, with a two-day general admission ticket for adults $55, children ages 12 and under FREE, and a two-day pit pass for adults will be $70.

    Advanced two-day general admission and pit passes will be available through October 1 and will be $50 dollars in the general admission area and $65 dollars for a pit pass. There will be a limited number of reserved seats available for the event (top 2 rows of the general admission area) and can be purchased for an additional $3 per seat. To purchase your advanced two-day passes and to reserve your seat for this highly anticipated event, please contact track promoter Jerry Denson at (606) 235-0190 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. no later than October 1 (please, no calls on Sunday). The track can now also take a debit or credit card payment, but there will be a $2 service charge to use your debit or credit card.

    Also, the track will be reserving camping spots for the weekend as well and campers can camp for the weekend for $30.
