CARTERSVILLE, GA – NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division point fund-paying positions fifth through tenth will be decided this Saturday night in Week 27 competition, the final week of the 2015 season. Two races are on the schedule of events at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, TN and at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL.

The top four spots in the 2015 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division point standings have been decided. Richie Stephens of Salem, AL is the National Champion with a perfect 14 week total of 700 points, and Brooks Strength of Raymond, MS is the National Championship Runner-Up with a best 14 week total of 698 points.

Branden Harris of Molino, FL will finish third in the 2105 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 691 points. Steve Pate of Heflin, AL will be fourth in the standings with a best 14 week total of 678 points. Behind the top four, nine drivers will battle for the next six points fund-paying spots in the final week of the season.

Bo Bailey of Milton, FL is fifth in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 670 points. Bailey will be trying to stay in the fifth spot during the final week of the season by trying to net on a 46. That means Bailey has to finish fourth or better to increase his season point total.

Larry Faulk of Monroeville, AL is sixth in the standings with a best 14 week total of 669 points. Faulk will be looking to net on a 46 to improve his season total. Calvin Cook of Pace, FL is seventh in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 663 points, and he will be trying to net on a 42 in the final week of the season.

Brandon Kilpatrick of Jay, FL is eighth in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 655 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41. A 50-point win would give Kilpatrick a season total of 664 points. Jason Jarrell of Hattiesburg, MS is ninth in the standings with a best 14 week total of 654 points. Jarrell will be trying to net on a 45 in Week 27 competition.

David Windham of Florala, AL is on the hot seat during the last week of the 2015 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division season, as he holds the tenth and final points fund-paying spot with a best 14 week total of 652 points. Windham will be trying to net on a 41. With a 50-point win, Windham would net nine points and bring his season total to 661 points.

There are three drivers outside the Top 10 of the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division point standings that have an opportunity to race their way into the Top 10 and earn a seat at the NeSmith Racing Annual Awards Banquet on January 23 at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame and Thunder Road Museum in Dawsonville, GA to pick up a point fund check.

Kevin Mitchell of Pensacola, FL is 11th in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 649 points. Mitchell will be trying to net on a 41 and a 50-point win would give Mitchell a season total of 658 points. Jay Geddie of Ellisville, MS is 12th in the standings with a best 14 week total of 648 points, and Geddie will be trying to net on a 43.

The “coming from out of nowhere” driver of the 2015 season could be Sean Goodwin of Pensacola, FL. Goodwin is 18th in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 623 points and he has one more week to earn full points. If Goodwin starts a feature race with eight or more cars, he will earn a minimum of 41 points that would bring his season total to 664 points and well into the top ten of the final point standings.

Drivers in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division will compete against each other nationally using a points system that will count their best 14 weekly point totals over a 27-week season from March 23 through September 27. The $5,000 National point fund will pay $2,000 to the National Champion and pay back to the Top 10 drivers in the final point standings.
