HOOSIER RACING TIRE BRINGS MANY GOOD THINGS TO CHEVY SUPER SERIES

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CARTERSVILLE, GA – When the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series was born three years ago, Hoosier Racing Tire was one of the first marketing partners to stand alongside NeSmith Racing and Chevrolet Performance and commit to the series for the long-haul. To celebrate the culmination of the series’ third season, Hoosier Racing Tire has brought forth the “Road To Dega.”

The Hoosier Racing Tire Road To Dega program consists of 16 drivers that qualified for the program based on their finishes at four selected Chevy Super Series events racing for a bonus that could pay $4,000 should one of them win the 3rd Annual Dega 100 at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL on October 3.

Combined with the $6,000 winner’s share of the purse, that would be a $10,000 payday if one of the 16 Hoosier Racing Tire Road To Dega drivers wins the 3rd Annual Dega 100. If one of the 16 qualified Hoosier Racing Tire Road To Dega drivers does not win the 3rd Annual Dega 100, Hoosier Racing Tire will pay the highest finisher a $1,000 bonus.

Hoosier Racing Tire has been a part of NeSmith Racing since its inception in 2005 with the sister series of the Chevy Super Series, what is now known as the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series, and became the exclusive tire of that series in 2008. Hoosier Racing Tire developed an economical special tire for that series, offering two different compounds to competitors.

The two tires, known as the Hoosier Crate Racin’ USA 21 and 55, have proven to be a successful tire, as competitors say it’s a durable tire that repeats well. It is the same tire that is still in use by series competitors eight seasons later. Hoosier Racing Tire has always a big contributor to all NeSmith Racing point funds since 2005.

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series uses the Chevrolet Performance 604 Circle Track Engine that is sealed at the factory to prevent any expensive modifications. The Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series was developed three years ago around the sealed Chevrolet Performance CT525 All-Aluminum Racing Engine based off the production LS3 Engine.

The Hoosier Racing Tires used in the NeSmith Late Model Series is also used as the tire for the new Chevy Super Series. The combination of the Chevrolet Performance CT525 Engine and the Hoosier Racing Tire brought about a new style of super late model racing that was embraced by fans and competitors alike.

Race fans were treated with close competition that included two and three-wide racing, multiple lead changes, and close finishes. The competitors, many of which were veterans of open-style super late model racing, were amazed at the drivability of the dirt late models powered by the CT525 and shod with the Crate Racin’ USA Hoosier Racing Tires.

The Chevrolet Performance CT525 Engine delivered the right amount of horsepower and torque to the Crate Racin’ USA Hoosier Racing Tires to give them the maximum traction. This is what led to the close competition.

It was also three years ago that NeSmith Racing developed and launched the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division, and Hoosier Racing Tire once again stepped up to the plate and developed an economical special tire for the series, the H500. Combined with the Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine, the Hoosier Racing Tire H500 provided drivability and close competition in that Division.

All of these contributions Hoosier Racing Tire has made to NeSmith Racing will be on display at the 3rd Annual Dega 100 for the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series on October 3 at Talladega Short Track.

Not only will 16 drivers be competing for the $4,000 Hoosier Racing Tire Road To Dega bonus, but there will also be 20 plus other drivers on hand looking to win the Chevy Super Series season finale. In addition to that, the NeSmith Late Model and the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stocks will also be in action, each racing in a $1,500-to-win main event.
