    Thumbs up LaSalle (IL) Speedway: Thaw Brawl to be co-sanctioned by MARS & ALMS. March 25 & 26.

    MARS c-sanctioning LaSalle Special
    The Missouri based MARS DIRTcar Series will make it's first visit to La Salle (ILL) Speedway in 2016 with the addition of the March 25-26 Thaw Brawl to the tour's schedule, the series announced.

    MARS will co-sanction the event with the Sunoco American Late Model Series, a sister series connected to the UMP DIRTcar organization.

    The Thaw Brawl is scheduled for a $5,000 to win event on Friday, March 25 and a $15,000 to win event on Saturday, March 26th. The rain date is April 8-9.

    Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Illinois, swept both La Salle events in 2015.

    With Mars Alms and Cbc points on the line plus 5k fri and 15k sat how many cars will we see?

    It's not a CBC race. Not that it really matters.

    No more than 35 cars.... Don't take any driver roster on here serious.

    Either way you look at it it will probably be a quality field of cars. Thanks to Tony and the folks at LaSalle Speedway for bring the MARS Series to co-sanction the show with the ALMS & Corn Belt Clash. Fans will likely get to see driver like Tony Jackson Jr., Terry Phillips, among others that they may have not seen race before. The last 2 years it has be absolutely cold but most folks are ready for race season by then and are willing to bundle up and go see some decent racing. 4 divisions of racing and a good field of cars in each class. Should be a good show for the fans.
