I have used an old crappy coates tire machine for years. Bought a used one for 200$. Does my trucks, cars, racecars, trailers etc. I can even do the 14 tall late model wheels. Just throw an old late model rotor on top of wheel opening and the cone fits. Doesn't get any cheaper.

this is the type i have http://fayar.craigslist.org/tls/5366911478.html No problems w/ american racer kk 704's. Certain brand of wheels are tougher than other,s IIRC its bassett that has the beads that its pretty tough to break them off. Tire shops don't want to deal with offroad tires for some reason.

I have a Coats A100(antique) and it works well but the soft side wall tires takes some finesse to separate on some rims.
The KK704 on an Areo rim really suck but the bassets and others have been good. The Hoosier G60 and A40 really suck on the Areo but I find the Bassets and REAL are ok most times. Occasionally a problem but the two handle type bead breakers get it done but a lot more work. I use mine mostly for holding the rim for fixing beads lips and bead lock assemblies.
