It will promote quicker hike. It will gain more angle and thus carry more load during lateral weight transfer. How that ultimately effects the car depends on the location with respect to the center of the rear track (more left or right of center effects the car)
Too much angle can cause the car to not be able to roll. Carrying too much load on that solid bar is obviously bad for the suspension. Keep that all in mind as you try it and see if it helps or hurts.
J bar is a place guys have and continue to screw their cars up.
