    Default 16 volt battery atvantages

I recently purchased a turbo start 16 volt battery and charger. What are the atvantages in running a 16 volt system? What should I do different vs a 12 volt system? Thanks

Starters last longer better power for ignition you don't have to change anything to run the 16v.Been running them for years

Be careful when charging a 16v battery to not run anything on the car. The chargers can output 18-19 volts or more and can easily burn up any electronics (MSD, gauge bulbs) if you turn them on while charging. A battery disconnect switch is useful also to cut the flow of power to these devices. Most gauge bulbs today can handle 16v just fine but if you start to blow bulbs you'll either need to get some 16v compatible bulbs or a step-down transformer to connect to your gauge panel.

we use the 3 terminal 16v.
run instrumentation off of the 12v terminal, everything else off the 16v terminal
