Chili Bowl Breaks More Records

The Chili Bowl Nationals not only has already set a record for car count (340+ cars) it is officially completely sold out of reserve seating for all but 1 of the 5 nights of racing in the River City Expo Center. Tuesday night, the opening night of the 4 preliminary nights is the only night that reserve tickets are still available. The promoters believe Tuesday night will also sell out, as well. Given that the Expo Center will seat around 11,000 the attendance will be well in EXCESS of 100,000 for the 5 nights of racing!! That doesn't include the spectators that don't have reserve seats that buy pit passes and watch it on the jumbo tron and from the general admission pit bleachers.

This deal has turned into a veritable dirt racing racing juggernaut. Been to a lot of dirt shows over the years, including all the big shows at Eldora, but nothing I've attended can equal The Chili Bowl.
