Should be interesting to see what they come up with. Wouldn't it make sense to invite IMCA and the eastern Steel block series, as these are often the fill in guys for the traveling series. Even though they have to switch engines,it seems, making the chassis and bodies the same, would be helpful.

WoO didn't contact us about a committee but seems a select few were..... Lucas Oil Series director & officials took the time to stop at the Warrior Shop & speak with us about the new rules to explain and answer ANY concerns we had.

Maybe WoO will do the same, once the rules are made?

I hope this is a positive but I fear its a power & influence grab. Kinda like someone running around the country buying up tracks and series, oh wait that already happened.... I believe its good for cooperation between organizations and businesses, but I'm not a fan of consolidation with one overriding power. JMHO

I want to still be able to build my own stuff and design it how I see fit and run it where I want.

Ray Cook is a driver. Bob Pierce and Marshall Green are former drivers so I'd say they could be a voice for drivers. Especially since Bob's kid races.

I will give you Ray Cook but one may argue he's more promoter now than driver. Green and Pierce are in business to make money so they are not going to push for rules that will save racers money. They are not going to vote to take money out of their pockets.

Your right, a power grab is exactly what it is. This sport is becoming more and more cookie cutter and by the time they get done everything about the sport will be way over regulated and boring, just like this country, way over regulated, politically correct and it has gradually deteriorated character and personal development.

I would think it very unlikely any rule would simultaneously impact a chassis manufacturer in a negative way and racers in a positive way and really be meaningful. They are essentially fabricators. There isn't all that much expense on that end of it.

And short of outlawing specific, expensive components, I have yet to see a rule that saved money.

You do see Kelly carltons name in that mix right???

What you state really isn't a fair assessment.

Ask the drivers about him if you don't know him......dude is the voice of reason.

I see one other group not represented here.

What about the Car Owners who don't have a second DLM Industry priority?
Mark Richards, Bob Pierce, and Ray Cook are car owners, but they all also have a second interest within the industry as chassis builders and promoter.

I think they should find some car owners who have other business interests not related to the DLM industry, that also own a team. These are the guys who are writing checks week after week for the enjoyment of it. If writing checks becomes more burdensome than fun, they will walk away from the sport. I would think their involvement would be key to this process.
