If you ever listened to a radio broadcast of NASCAR over the past 50 years, you have heard Barney Hall of Elkin, NC on MRN. Hall has passed away, in his 80s, after complications from a medical procedure.

When I was little, there was no such thing as nascar on TV every race. I remember listening to MRN broadcasts, and Barney Hall was one of the first broadcasters I can remember recognizing. RIP Mr. Hall
