(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Ray Cook and his #53 team descended upon Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on Saturday, January 30 for the unsanctioned 'Cabin Fever 40' spectacular. In Super Late Model action, Ray posted the fourth fastest lap in Group B during qualifying prior to scoring the victory in his consolation event. After starting the $3,500 to win main event from the outside of the fourth row, Ray picked off five competitors during the 40-lap daytime contest to finish the 'Cabin Fever 40' in the third position behind only victor Donald McIntosh and runner-up Dale McDowell.
