Dennis Erb Racing Starts 2016 with Hectic Speedweeks Slate in Georgia and Florida

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing has meticulously gone through their equipment in the past couple of months and is ready to travel southbound to Georgia and Florida for “Speedweeks 2016.” Dennis Erb, Jr., who once again plans to follow the ultra-competitive Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series this year, will lift the lid to his racing season from February 4-6 in the annual running of the ‘Super Bowl of Racing’ at Golden Isles Speedway near Brunswick, Georgia. A trio of LOLMDS shootouts will thrill fans in the Peach State with $7,000, $10,000, and $15,000 top prizes awaiting the winners.

From there, the #28 team will venture south to East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida for the 40th edition of the ‘Winternationals.’ The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will preside over six events in consecutive days from February 8-13 at the track deemed as the “Clay by the Bay.” Winning checks will vary from $5,000 early in the week to the $12,000 to win finale on that Saturday evening. Dennis is especially lethal at the Tampa-area venue, as he has claimed at least one LOLMDS triumph at East Bay each year dating back to 2012.

The tenth and final scheduled Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series show during “Speedweeks” will then take place on Sunday, February 14 at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida. The ‘Bubba Army Winter Nationals’ headliner will boast a $10,000 windfall on Valentine’s Day. The ultra-busy stretch of racing will then culminate with the 45th Annual ‘DIRTcar Nationals’ at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. Dennis is scheduled to enter the final four programs at VSP from February 17-20, as the UMP DIRTcar Series and World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series will sanction $10,000 to win showdowns at the Daytona Beach-area speedplant.

Dennis, who hails from Carpentersville, Illinois and finished eighth in the final Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings in 2015, will unload a new Black Diamond Chassis when he arrives in the Brunswick area later this week.
