If Brian Shirley keeps up this kind of speed I would keep my eye on him as a very possible contender for the WoO title.

Whats wrong with him being a contender to the Lucas title?

Well he said he is running at least the start of the WoO and then reevaluating so I assume the issue with him being a contender on the Lucas Series is all of the races where the WoO competes with the Lucas series, but I could be wrong I guess. Maybe he has a private jet or something.
Thanks,
Jeff.

Shirley has really impressed me so far. He went through some tough times last year, and acted like he was about done. Glad to see him back and doing well.

I agree, good to see Brian racing again. Now with some good support from Bob Cullen and Arnie Ranta he can race with the competition. He has always been a good, smart racer, just lacked the funding but this could be an interesting year for the 3s team!

I agree with you, Shirley knows how to race smart, he needed some good equipment and financial support and now he has it. I believe he will do well this year, maybe shake things up a bit with the World of Outlaw regulars and race at some of the crown jewel events. Starting the year off well for sure!
