Ray Cook Eyes Ultimate Opener at North Georgia Next Following Winter Freeze

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Ray Cook Racing ventured south to the Peach State on February 12-13 for the 'Winter Freeze VI' at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia. The two-day World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series spectacular kicked off with an $8,000 to win opener on Friday evening. Ray Cook qualified fourteenth fastest in Group A during time trials prior to grabbing the fourth and final transfer spot through his heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the seventh row in the 40-lap main event, Ray was able to move past a trio of competitors on his way to a respectable eleventh place showing.

On Saturday night at Screven, a $10,000 winner's check was on the line in the 'Winter Freeze VI' weekend finale. Ray clicked off the fourth quickest lap in Group A during WOOLMS qualifying, but later experienced terminal motor issues during his heat race. The Brasstown, North Carolina standout was forced to scratch from the remainder of the program and was unable to make the start in the 50-lap headliner, which was won by Rick Eckert.
