    Chris Madden Notches 48th Career Southern All Star Victory at March Madness XIV

    GAFFNEY, SC—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series returned to Lennie Buff’s Cherokee Speedway Sunday afternoon for March Madness XIV and local favorite and two time Southern All Star Champion Chris Madden of Gray Court, SC., scored the win in impressive manner as he led all 60 laps before a packed grandstands.

    Casey Roberts of Toccoa, GA., who grabbed a Southern All Star win last weekend at Cochran Motor Speedway started on the pole with Madden outside and coming off turn two at the drop of the green Madden pulled ahead of Roberts then set his own pace, keeping Roberts behind him the entire race only to have to hold several challenges by Roberts when they were in lapped traffic, but Madden would be able to get away from Roberts to get his 48th career win. Roberts came home in second spot with Chris Ferguson charged late in the race from his 6th starting spot, fourth place to Brandon Overton an fifth t Ross Bailes.

    Finishing in the sixth spot was Dustin Mitchell, seventh to Johnny Pursely Jr, eighth place Kenny Collins ninth Brett Hamm and tenth to Jim Rasey.

    Not sure the name but he does a lot of the east coast races and I have to mute the race so I don't have to listen to him.

    He isn't bad, some the things he says cracks me up. He just bring a different style.

    I believe his name is Dewayne Keith.

    Yes that's Dewayne. He's the Southern All Stars announcer. Great guy and does a good job. Sometimes he's at other races when SAS is off.

    JMO but he sounds to me like he wants to RAP. not my cup of tea.when he calms down he sounds like a good announcer

    Madden gets win last week and acts like his normal self tonight at smokey mountain.
