Ponderosa Speedway Test and Tune Open Practice Postponed to Sunday March 27

Junction City, KY-March 18, 2016- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jerry Denson has been forced to postpone the Test and Tune Open Practice that scheduled for Sunday March 20 due to unfinished state-mandated electrical updates at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring”.

The Test and Tune Open Practice will now take place on Sunday afternoon March 27 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. EDT. The general admission and pit areas will be open at Noon on Sunday March 27. Admission to the general admission area will be FREE for anyone wanting to watch practice, while a pit pass will be $15.

This turn of events has also forced the track to move its 44th Annual Season Opener event to Friday April 1. The Friday April 1 racing program will feature a full racing program for the track’s Pro (Crate) Late Models, Modifieds, KDRA Super Stocks, Four Cylinders, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones.

The Bobby Carrier, Sr. Memorial event that was scheduled for the KDRA Super Stock division on Friday April 1 will now be moved and rescheduled to a later date on in the 2016 racing schedule.
