Default Hawk dtc 05 brake pads

Anyone ever use these pads ...what's ur opinion on them...I hate how the blacks and dtc 30s are so hard on the rotors

haven't tried the 05.. switched to the wilwood b compound and felt I had the same performance but they are significantly easier on rotors, going to start my 2nd season on them..

The DTC 30's are the best combination of rotors lasting versus having some braking power in my opinion. The DTC 05 is a performance street pad. They won't stop near as well. If you are eating up rotors with DTC 30's then you are using the brakes hard enough to overheat the DTC 05.

Rotors on my mod last me at least 20 to 30 races with DTC 30 pads. I'm not real abusive on the brakes though.

Race cars require maintenance and that includes the brakes. That's about all there is to it...

I have found properly broken in rotors and pads help prolong life. I never brake in new pads on a new rotor. seems to help having one of them seasoned. JMHO
