CARTERSVILLE, GA – Jay Geddie of Ellisville, MS, Newell Didone Jr. of Kentwood, LA, and Stephen Joyce Jr. of Dayton, TX were the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Week 1 winners, and share the lead of the National point standings. Three of the five Week 1 races were run with two tracks raining out.

Geddie drove the Geddie Tree Service Chevrolet to a 40-point win on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS to open the 2016 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division season. Didone was the winner on Saturday night at LA 36 Speedway (formerly known as St. Tammany Raceway) driving the Didone Racing Chevrolet.

Bronco Raceway Park in Cleveland, TX ran its first-ever NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division sanctioned race on Saturday night, and Joyce will go into the record books as the first NeSmith Street Stock winner at the Southeast Texas track in the Joyce Racing Chevrolet.

Jason Jarrell of Hattiesburg, MS, David Brown of Kentwood, LA, and Adam Bartels of Cleveland, TX are in a three-way battle for the fourth spot in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 39 points apiece. Jarrell finished second at Hattiesburg Speedway, Brown took the second spot at LA 36 Speedway, and Bartels was third at Bronco Raceway Park.

There is a three-way tie for the seventh spot in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings at 38 points among the third-place finisher on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway, Joseph Richbourg of Cantonment, FL, Blake Ewing of Lacombe, LA, who finished third at LA 36 Speedway on Saturday night, and Josh Chevalier of Cleveland, TX who took the third spot at Bronco Raceway Park on Saturday night.

Dustin Ladner of Gulfport, MS rounds out the top ten in the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division standings with 37 points. Ladner drove the Ladner Racing Chevrolet to a fourth-place finish on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway.

Saturday night NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Week 1 races scheduled for Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, GA and Southern Raceway in Milton, FL were rained out.
