Jared Landers Registers Pair of Podiums; Brownstown Next

Batesville, Arkansas (04/04/16) - Jared Landers took his Crop Production Services #777 Mark Martin Automotive/Sweet Bloomquist/Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model into competition over the weekend in a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) events, where he claimed back-to-back, podium finishes.

Piloting the Crop Production Services #777 Super Late Model, Jared Landers traveled to Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) on Friday night for the first-ever Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned event at the facility. Competing in a field of thirty-four cars, Jared scored a runner-up finish in his heat behind Randy Weaver, earning him the 7th-starting position for the feature. With $10,000 on the line, Landers gained four positions in the 50-lap affair scoring a 3rd place finish behind Chris Madden and Randy Weaver with Jonathan Davenport and Scott Bloomquist rounding out the top five.

Landers followed the LOLMDS to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) on Saturday night for the 19th Annual Bama Bash. With twenty-seven cars signed in, Jared followed up the fastest time in qualifying with a heat race victory. Starting on the pole for the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Landers lead the first 57 laps of the main event before seeing Jonathan Davenport slip past in the closing laps. Jared would go on to ultimately capture a runner-up finish behind Davenport with Scott Bloomquist, Jimmy Owens, and Darrell Lanigan trailing them across the finish line.

“The car was really good both nights, and Saturday night I think I just let that one slip away there at the end,” said Landers. “I made some bad decisions there late in the race with lapped traffic, and with the way that Jonathan (Davenport) is running right now, you just can’t give that guy an inch. Either way my team is busting their tails, and we have a really good car right now, so hopefully the wins will start coming soon.”

Jared is currently in third in the latest LOLMDS point standings. Full results from these events are available at www.LucasDirt.com .

This Saturday, April 9 takes the team to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) for the 19th Annual Indiana Ice Breaker. The $12,000-to-win event will be sanctioned by the LOLMDS. For more information on the program, please visit www.LucasDirt.com .
