Davenport/ Burlington
Anyone have a drivers list who will be at these events this weekend? Thinking of making the trip would be my first tip to both of these tracks.
-
I'm sure the normal people that run these series will be there. I know Birkhofer is racing, Maybe Moyer might show up. Jason Feger has run these the last two years. If you are not coming far, then these shows should be worth the trip. JMO

Open motors in Iowa is a rare occasion.

am trying to catch the davenport show Friday night on the way home to my dad's place to catch my old home town tracks Saturday night adams county speedway season opener. have always had good luck catching great racing at davenport.
and the weather report says I will get to see my first race of 2016.
and I don't care who shows up! put some cars on the track and i'm entertained.
And the days that I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations, well, I have really good days - Ray Wylie Hubbard

Here are drivers that have either confirmed to us they are coming, have it on their website or both:
Chad Simpson
Shirley
Babb
Pierce
Birky
Unzicker
Chris Simpson
Tony Jackson Jr
Feger
Weaver
Jay Johnson
There are 10-15 other guys who follow either MARS or ALMS who we expect, but they either don't have a site or it's not updated.

I found these drivers have the "Slocum 50" listed on there websites:
Frank Heckenast Jr.
Jason Utter
Justin Asplin
I would have to think these drivers will be there:
Mark Burgtorf
Denny Woodworth
Justin Reed
-
The 04 of Tad Posisipil from Norfolk Nebraska plans on being at the Slocum.
-
Add Dustin Griffin and Gordy Gundaker to the list
-
California transplant Jason Papich will be at Davenport and the Slocum.
-
Add Jimmy Mars both nights.
-
I wonder about Stovall, AJ Diemel (travels with Mars), Manville, Schmitt, Bell,
-
Manville will probably stay home
-
I would assume Unzicker would be at Slocum
-
Scott Schmitt has both races on his schedule.

I would imagine the last 3 will be at Burlington, but I doubt if they will go to Davenport. Justin Reed would be the most likely of the 3 to go to Davenport, but he might go to Granite City on Friday (just my guess).

While I don't know for sure, I would imagine that Gordy will run at his dad's track on Friday and then maybe go to Burlington (Sat.) and/or Sedalia (Sun). While it would be good to see Dustin Griffin at both, I think Burlington only would be more likely.

I imagine that he will run the $2000 to win show at Granite City on Friday night.
