Billy Moyer Gets First Victory of 2016 at Wheatland; $20k Bad Boy 98 Ahead!

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer, of Batesville, Arkansas, picked up his first feature win of the young 2016 campaign on Friday evening, April 8 in the annual 'MLRA Spring Nationals' opener at the immaculate Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri! Billy won his heat race in preliminary action and later led all thirty circuits in the Lucas Oil MLRA Series headliner from the pole position. He recorded the $2,000 payday over Jimmy Mars, Payton Looney, Bobby Pierce, and Jason Papich!

On Saturday night, April 9, the conclusion of the 'MLRA Spring Nationals' was held at Wheatland and a $5,000 winner's check was on the line. Billy ran second in heat race action and later lined up starting the 45-lap main event from the outside of the second row. During the course of the caution-free contest, the popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" ran towards the front before slipping back to seventh at the finish. “It was a good night for us on Friday at Lucas Oil Speedway,” commented Moyer following the victory. “Our Billy Moyer Victory Race Car was fast all night. Fortunately, we hit everything pretty close to right and the car had tons of traction. I want to thank all of my great sponsors for their continued support and I look forward to racing close to home this weekend in the Bad Boy 98!”
