Putnam.......he is a good local at best. Regionally he has trouble making big shows. If he even shows up to try. He doesn't have the money or equipment to compete against Madden, Weaver, Marlor and several other REGIONAL hot shots.

Lets make no bones about it. Willie has been pretty dominate in Eastern North Carolina for several years now. He has won several races at Fayetteville and Dublin over the past 8-10 years. This year seems like its shaping up pretty good for him. I would love to see how he would do if he traveled a bit more instead of staying locally.

I do like the look. Very nice looking cars. And he obviously is a good driver.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

Ferguson and Milliken, Bailes and Pursley, Rambo and Roberts.......all very good regional drivers. In my opinion, Madden is a national tour driver who has chosen not to travel (either because of money or family) that on an a average night can beat most anyone. The other drivers need an exceptional night to beat up on "the big boys".

No matter what region your from, guys like Millican are what makes you feel good. Everyone likes to see Jack kill the giant. Home track advantage or not, this was something special. I think there was only one driver missing from the top 5 in the country.

Millikens car owner has the resources to buy the very best equipment possible to race with, they have more than the two cars in the picture, 4 at least, as the car owner also races LM. They have a very close working relationship with Longhorn and Clements race engines, all are custom built with several limited and unlimited all aluminum motors in the cars and in inventory. They also have a engineer and a shock specialist working for the team when needed. They also have a top of the line hauler to travel up and down the roads, a top of the line operation. Due to the owners business and drivers work commitments it Is almost impossible for them to travel regionally on a regular basis at this time. You will see them racing in eastern NC primarily, traveling out of state occasionally, eldora will be a Dream come true in their World, but work will dictate their ability to attend either event.

Mason Price and Willie Milliken can get their next big test by traveling just up the road to VMS first weekend in June for the postponed Commonwealth 100/USA 100 that pays some serious money!
Somebody that knows them have them mark their calendars. It'll be a good test for all these potential "hot dogs" in the southeast on the big 1/2 mile.
