    Default Trailer roof coating

    I need recommendations for painting my trailer roof (Halmark) - i have tried them and several rv dealiers and all have no idea - any help would be greatly appreciated -- thanks

    Are you wanting to seal it or just repaint? The sealer for rubber camper roofs should work to seal it. Or the stuff used on mobile home roofs. Cool Seal I think it is. For paint, I used Sherwin Williams on the metal sides of my shop. I told them what I needed it for and they hooked me up. Its been a couple years and so far holding up well.

    I don't know anything about enclosed trailers but I saw RV roof coatings mentioned and wanted to add:

    RV roofs are usually EPDM rubber and needs a specific EPDM sealer in order to be effective. Kool Seal has an EPDM compatible coating. They also have one that isn't and is petroleum based. Using that on an EPDM roof will cause it to swell and flake off over time. If it's EPDM I'd recommend looking up Eternabond tape also for the seams.
