Billy Moyer Jr. Masters Missouri State Fair Speedway

Batesville, Arkansas (04/18/16) – Billy Moyer Jr. piloted his Crop Production Services #21jr Victory Chassis/Pro Power Racing Engine Super Late Model to his second win of the season with a $5,000 triumph on Sunday afternoon with the Lucas Oil MLRA.

The weekend opened with Jr. Motorsports making the short trip to Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) on Friday afternoon. Billy Moyer Jr. was one of 43 competitors signed in on Friday for the annual Bad Boy 98, which was sanctioned by both the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS). Sending the top four out of the heats into the A-Main on Saturday night, Moyer Jr. edged his way into the $20,000-to-win main event with a 3rd-place finish. Early in the feature he ran as high as 7th in the field before a flat tire relegated him to a 23rd-place outing.

On Sunday afternoon Moyer Jr. traveled to Missouri State Fair Speedway (Sedalia, Missouri) for the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) event. Drawing 27 cars, Billy captured a heat race win, transferring him into the A-Main. Battling for the $5,000 payday, Billy Moyer Jr. reeled in his second victory of the season from the 3rd-starting spot with Terry Phillips, Rodney Sanders, Jason Papich, and Randy Timms rounding out the top five.

“The flat tire was a bummer on Saturday night at Batesville, but we definitely bounced back on Sunday at Sedalia,” said Moyer Jr. “Honestly it was a last minute decision to even head up there, and I’m really glad we did. My crew just had a few hours of sleep, but they busted theirs tails to get my car ready, so I really want to thank them for their hard work.”
