    Default Couple of camshaft questions

Looking to gain on the competition without breaking the bank. A lot of them have bigger bottom ends than me, but I'm not really in a position right now to invest in one myself.

I have a Lightweight 2300 with 5.7 rods and and a solid lift head with big valves...the lift on the cam is in the low 500's. RPM's are in the 7000s and the tracks I run at you can stay on the motor for the most part.

Would a cam with a lift in the 600's be an improvement and would I need to change anything within the head for a roller cam?

Yes. No comparison in a good roller setup and a solid. You would likely have to change valve springs, go to the long adjuster studs if you haven't already, and adjust valve for correct stem height for the lift/base circle.
    BUCKLE UP NOW, YA HEAR?
