Kyle Beard Sweeps MSCCS Weekend; MARS Up Next

Trumann, Arkansas (04/25/16) – Kyle Beard has been close to winning races with the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Models throughout his career, but has never quite been able to find his way to victory lane. He emphatically changed that statistic over the weekend by sweeping both MSCCS events in the Magnolia State in his Gary Beard Trucking #86 Black Diamond Race Car/ Kuntz & Co. Racing Engine Super Late Model.

“This was just an incredible weekend, and our car was so good,” said Beard. “This new Black Diamond Race Car has been awesome since we debuted it back in January in Arizona. I honestly believe this will be the first of several wins this year for our team, and I just want to thank my crew for their hard work.”

On Friday night Kyle Beard headed to Hattiesburg Speedway (Hattiesburg, Mississippi) for the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) sanctioned event. In his debut at the facility, Beard posted the fastest time in qualifying. Kyle then earned a front row starting spot for the $2,000-to-win feature following the dash. Dropping back to 5th on the first lap, Kyle worked his way back up to 2nd with 10 laps remaining. Taking the lead from Bub McCool on the 37th lap, Kyle Beard went on to capture his first win of the season with McCool, Brian Rickman, Keith Miller, and Jason Taylor trailing him across the finish line.

Continuing with the MSCCS, Kyle Beard traveled to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) on Saturday night for the Cliburn Tank Lines 50. Competing in a field of thirty-three Super Late Models, Beard earned the 4th-starting spot for the $2,500-to-win, A-Main. Working his way to the front, Kyle overtook David Breazeale on the 26th lap en route to picking up his second win in as many days. David Breazeale, Bub McCool, Jon Mitchell, and Allen Tippen rounded out the top five in the main event.

The upcoming weekend, April 29-30, will take Kyle to Missouri for a pair of Mid America Racing Series (MARS) Super Late Model events. On Friday evening a $3,000-to-win event will be held at Monett Speedway (Monett, Missouri), while Saturday will take the team to Legit Speedway (West Plains, Missouri) for a $3,000-to-win program.
