Dennis Erb Racing Gears Up for Double Dip in Land of Lincoln Following Hagerstown

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing ventured east with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on April 22-23 with scheduled events in the states of Ohio and Maryland. With Friday's rain-out at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, the doubleheader weekend turned into a single-day affair on Saturday evening at the legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland. Dennis Erb, Jr. qualified fifteenth fastest in Group B during time trials prior to finishing seventh in his loaded heat race.

After grabbing the third and final transfer spot through his B-Main, Dennis started the $12,000 to win main event from the outside of the eleventh row. Despite drawing a lap 22 caution after he had already climbed to eleventh, Dennis was able to move back up to fifteenth by the checkers of the 60-lap 'Stanley Schetrompf Founders Day Classic.' The Carpentersville, Illinois hotshoe now finds himself ninth in the heated Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings exiting Hagerstown. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will take the #28 team to a pair of venues in their home state of Illinois over the upcoming April 29-30 weekend. The Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois will take center stage on Friday night, as the St. Louis-area facility will play host to the $10,000 to win ‘Budweiser 50.’ The doubleheader weekend will then wrap up at the tiny Macon Speedway in Macon, Illinois on Saturday evening, as the 3rd Annual ‘St. Louis U-Pic-A-Part 100’ boasts a hefty $12,000 winner’s check.
