Rod and R.J. Conley Land in Top Five at Atomic; Busy Weekend Ahead for CMI

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) team was in the pit area at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Saturday night, April 23 for a weekly Super Late Model program, which boasted a $2,250 winner's check. R.J. Conley posted the quickest lap in qualifying aboard his new XR1 Rocket Chassis to earn Fast Time honors and later placed third in his heat race. After starting the headliner from the inside of the fourth row, R.J. was able to drive past a couple of competitors on his way to a fifth place showing.

His brother Rod Conley ran second in his heat race and also found himself in the top five at the conclusion of the main event. "Hot Rod" wound up fourth in the final finishing order behind only race winner Devin Moran, Duane Chamberlain, and Eddie Carrier, Jr. Delmas Conley was also in action at Atomic Speedway over the weekend and finished second in his heat race before running into issues during the feature and retiring in the nineteenth position. All three drivers (Delmas, Rod, and R.J. Conley) are scheduled to tackle two dirt venues this upcoming weekend (April 29-30) in the states of Ohio and Kentucky. On Friday night, the ‘Charlie Floyd Memorial Benefit Race’ will take place at the nearby Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio. The AMRA STARS Late Model Series will preside over the $2,000 to win special. At Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday evening, the Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals tour will roll into the Cincinnati-area to sanction a $5,000 to win shootout.
