    Iron-Man Mountain Championship Begins May 7th at 201 Speedway for $3,000-to-win

    SITKA, KY (May 1, 2016)—The Inaugural Iron-Man Mountain Championship kicks off for Super Late Models with the running of the Thunder Road Moonshine Runners 30 on Saturday May 7th paying $3,000-to-win and $250-to-start at the 201 Speedway located in Sitka, Ky.

    The first of now eight scheduled events will feature the ground-pounding Super Late Models gunning for $3,000-to-win in their 30-lap main event which will feature a complete show of hot laps, time trials, heat races, consolation races and the feature race. The Open Wheel Modifieds will also be on the racing program for Saturday May 7th paying $700-to-win along with the Bombers paying $500-to-win and the Rumble in the Mountains event for the Four-Cylinders also paying $800-to-win.

    The winner and/or highest finisher from the May 7th Super Late Model event will have a guaranteed starting spot for the “Bob Miller Memorial” race on July 1st sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series paying $10,000-to-win. In addition, the winner of the “Thunder Road Moonshine Runners 30” May 7th will draw out a ticket to one lucky fan in the grandstands who will receive a free pass to the July 1st Lucas Oil-sanctioned race.

    The 201 Speedway opened their season April 2nd with the Johnny Salyer & Roger Breeding Memorial race that saw Tim Dohm of Cross Lanes, W.V. claim the $3,000 top prize over Josh Hall, Eddie Carrier Jr., R.J. Conley and Terry Hicks.

    On Saturday May 7th the pits and grandstands open at 3:00 pm with the driver’s meeting being set for 6:30 pm and hot laps will roll out around 7:00 pm. Adult general admission and hillside parking is $20.00 per person and children ten and under are admitted free. Adult pit passes are $35.00 while children ten and under are admitted free.

    The CT Promotions tire rule for the event will be as follows: Hoosier 1300, 1350, 1600 along with the American Racer 44, 48 and 56 compounds. The tour entry fee is $50.00. Weight Rules (per track rules) are 2300 lbs. for open engines and 2200 lbs. for steel block (also 525 or crate) engines.

    The Iron-Man Mountain Championship features eight events (May 7 through October 1) paying a minimum of $3,000-to-win. The min-tour features a $1,000 points fund for three positions and nightly contingencies. The Champion will receive a minimum of $500, second place receives $300 while third place receives $200. The tour’s perfect attendance drivers will be entered into drawings for a free vinyl wrap courtesy of Victory Signs & Designs of Sparta, Tenn. and another drawing for $2,000 off towards the purchase of a new chassis from Revelution Race Cars of Richmond, Ky.

    Iron-Man Mountain Championship Nightly Contingencies:
    -American Racer South will award $100 product certificate to the highest finishing driver on American Race Tires in the main event.
    -Double H Race Fabrications will award a $50 product certificate to the 10th place driver each night in the main event.
    -Schaeffer’s Oil by Ed Lowe will award a Case of Oil to the Feature Event Winner each night.
    -Revelution Race Cars will award a $50 product certificate to the highest finishing Revelution Race Car each night in the main event.
