Dennis Erb, Jr. Lands on Podium in Budweiser 50; Eyes Farmer City and FALS!

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team drove through the pit gate at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois on Friday night, April 29 to compete in the $10,000 to win 'Budweiser 50,' which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. In front of a standing-room-only crowd, Dennis Erb, Jr. knocked down the quickest lap during the qualifying session to earn Fast Time honors and later scored an exciting heat race triumph. After starting the 50-lap headliner from the pole position, Dennis ran up front throughout the 'Budweiser 50' and eventually claimed an impressive podium performance. At the checkers, the Carpentersville, Illinois ace found himself in the third position behind only race winner Scott Bloomquist and runner-up Jonathan Davenport!

On Saturday evening, Dennis and the rest of the stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series were slated to invade the tiny Macon Speedway in Macon, Illinois for a $12,000 to win shootout. Unfortunately, Mother Nature took the win and pushed the race back to Tuesday, July 26. Dennis currently finds himself seventh in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings following the weekend in the Land of Lincoln. Full results from Friday's show at Tri-City Speedway can be accessed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sitting idle over the upcoming Mother’s Day weekend (May 6-7), the #28 team will stay in their home state of Illinois to enter a couple of lucrative events. The Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois will kick things off on Friday night by hosting a $5,000 to win MARS DIRTcar Series and American Late Model Series (ALMS) co-sanctioned showdown. A similar program will then be held on Saturday evening at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois, but a $10,000 winner’s check will be on the line. Additional information concerning the doubleheader weekend can be obtained by clicking on www.farmercityracing.com and www.fairburyspeedway.com.
